Brief History

Fall 1980

• Community Bible Fellowship Christian School was established

• K-12 school with approximately 50 students

• Self-paced curriculum

• School shared facilities with CBF Church on Ross Street

1984

• Provincially certified teachers hired and provincial curriculum used

• High school program was discontinued (K-9 only)

1986

• Church/school moves to location on Hwy 83A just outside Swan River

1994

• The high school was introduced again following the Department of Education Guidelines

1996

• School builds 2 bungalows to accommodate growing numbers

Feb 2003

• Drop in enrolment necessitated the need to close the high school

• Junior Kindergarten started

2012-2013

• New playground is installed

2014

• Kindergarten changes to full-time
